Welcome to the Ambassador Spotlight series, where we will chat with Nexus Ambassadors from around the world to learn more about them and what brought them to the Nexus community.
Nexus Ambassadors are highly engaged contributors who support the Nexus community. These individuals help drive the ecosystem forward through leadership, influence, and hands-on involvement.
In our last spotlight, we chatted with @NameTr0uva1lle about the web3 community in his part of the world. Ivan (@tomatofroots) will answer a similar set of questions.

Can you share what initially drew you to the project and how its mission aligns with your personal vision for Web3?
I was inspired by the idea of building a decentralized cloud infrastructure — a true global supercomputer. The mission of Nexus perfectly aligns with my vision for Web3: returning control of technology to users and developers rather than centralized entities.

Are there particular challenges or opportunities in Belarus that you feel Nexus is uniquely positioned to address?
Belarus has a strong IT community, but access to global infrastructure is often restricted. Nexus can empower Belarusian developers by providing decentralized tools and resources, enabling them to build and deploy without reliance on centralized providers.
What changes have you observed in developer activity, community participation, or regulatory attitudes?
Over the past 3–4 years, interest in DeFi, NFTs, and Layer-1 solutions has grown significantly. Developer activity has increased, particularly in blockchain startups. However, regulatory uncertainty remains a major challenge for the ecosystem.

Are Belarusian builders, influencers, or teams gaining recognition or forming international partnerships? How are you helping to strengthen these connections?
Many Belarusian developers and projects collaborate remotely with international teams. We participate in hackathons, meetups, and DAOs, which help us expand our networks and gain global recognition. These connections are vital for integrating Belarus into the broader Web3 ecosystem.
What resources, communities, or platforms would you recommend for those just starting out?
My advice is to learn English, master Solidity and Rust, and actively engage with Web3 communities. Develop your content creation skills and build meaningful connections. Nexus can serve as a powerful launchpad — offering access to infrastructure, grants, and a global network.
I recommend tools and platforms such as Figma, Sora, ChatGPT, Gitcoin, and GitHub to help beginners learn, collaborate, and grow in the space.
