#Proof of Community: Your Path to Roles, Recognition, and Impact in Nexus

The Nexus community role system is getting an upgrade.

As our community grows and we head toward Testnet III and Mainnet, it's time to refine how we recognize and support the incredible contributions coming from every corner of our community.

This blog is both an explainer and an upgrade to our role and contribution system, a walkthrough of what roles exist, how you can earn them, and what it means to grow with Nexus.

This isn’t final. We’ll continue to evolve and fine-tune the system as we learn from you and scale together. But this guide lays the groundwork for how we show appreciation, build trust, and create new pathways to leadership and recognition.

Whether you're an artist, developer, translator, or someone who enjoys helping others, there’s a place for you here.

Golden criteria

All roles in Nexus are handpicked based on a combination of activity and contribution. That means:

  • Sharing one artwork or message won’t guarantee a role.
  • We’re looking for sustained, high-quality participation throughout the month—whether it's thoughtful discussions, helpful replies, educational content, or creative work.

Being active means showing up consistently, helping others, and making this a better space for all. Please do not ask mods or the Nexus team to be given a role or to become an ambassador. Roles are earned, not requested. We will DM you if your work blows us away.

Role assignment process

  • Assigned based on consistent activity and quality contribution
  • Reviewed monthly
  • Inactive >1 month? Your role may be archived until you return and show proof of contribution

Monthly role quotas

To keep roles meaningful and to spotlight standout contributors, we’re introducing a monthly quota system. Starting June 2025, we’ll select up to 15 members per role each month.

Each month is a new opportunity to contribute and be recognized. This helps ensure that our most active and impactful members continue to shine and makes the path to future leadership roles, like Ambassador, more intentional and fair.

Pro tip: Consistency matters. Roles are reviewed monthly, and inactivity will result in role removal.

Ambassadors

Ambassadors are limited in number and directly selected by Nexus team from our contributors and top rallies across channels. A combination of contribution and influencing power is the key. Those who already hold Discord roles will be given priority access. Getting a role thus will make you stand out and greatly help you toward becoming an ambassador. So let’s start here.

Can I earn multiple roles?

Yes, many of you’re multi-talented, and we appreciate that.

We know many of you contribute in more than one way, whether it's coding, creating art, translating, educating, or running socials. We encourage you to unleash your full talents and show up across different areas of the Nexus community.

Each member can hold up to five roles at once, regardless of whether you’re an Ambassador or not. So go ahead, build, meme, teach, translate, and hype. Just remember: Quality and consistency matter most. Keep showing up, and we’ll recognize.
