In Testnet II you will find better app performance, a wallet connect function, and testing for the Nexus Layer 1.
Testnet II will be open until 4:00 pm Pacific on February 21, 2025.
Each testnet helps us build, improve, and scale different facets of the Nexus Supercomputer. In Testnet II, we are experimenting with integrating the Nexus blockchain.
Get caught up on our Layer 1 news.
What’s new in Testnet II?
Improvements to this testnet include:
A new and improved leaderboard: You can see how your compute contributions compare against other people from around the world.
Wallet connect: We’re testing the best way to manage, collect, and distribute points. During this testnet you’ll be able to collect NEX Points in your connected wallet.
NEX Points: These are reward points for participating in the testnet. Once you connect a wallet, your NEX will start to accumulate based on your contributions. You can monitor your NEX balance in the Nexus app dashboard.
Previous points balances: You will be able to find your points from Testnet 0 and Testnet I using the Nexus app.
Streamlined node management: Connect all your nodes to one Nexus account.
How to join Testnet II
There are two ways to join the testnet and start contributing compute.
One-click connect via web app
The first way – and the easiest way – is to visit app.nexus.xyz.
All you have to do is toggle connect to get started. Connect your wallet to start earning NEX Points.
Run a CLI node
Running a CLI node means you can prove faster and prove at levels way beyond the limits of a browser.
To run a CLI node, simply copy this into your terminal window:
curl https://cli.nexus.xyz/ | sh

Find more information about the CLI in our documentation.
