Every day, tens of thousands of people around the world power Nexus. Until now, this activity has been quietly humming in the background — measured in cycles per second and block heights, not in human connection. With our latest app feature, that changes.
Today, we’re launching the Global Activity Map, an immersive way to see the Verifiable Internet come alive.
A live window into Nexus
The new feature allows users to toggle-on the Nexus OS home screen into a rotating globe, where you can explore network activity as it happens. Major cities pulse with node concentration. Arcs trace peer-to-peer connections across continents. It’s a dynamic visualization of the Nexus OS in action — one that highlights not just infrastructure, but global participation.
This new layer doesn’t replace any existing functionality. You’ll still see:
- Live nodes: Currently active nodes in the Devnet
- Total nodes: The full node count contributing to Nexus
- Active cities: A tally of cities with more than 20 active users
- Wallet access: One-click access to your personal dashboard
What’s new is how this data comes to life.
Navigate the verifiable Earth
You can spin the globe to explore activity hotspots, zoom in and out to inspect specific regions, or tap to reset your view. Each point of light on the map represents more than infrastructure — it represents people participating in a network.
You can pin your current location and the location data is never stored or transmitted. These features operate entirely within your browser, ensuring privacy and full local control.
Real-time block activity
Also on the map interface, you’ll find a new block activity widget showing the latest blocks added during Devnet. Click any block number to open it in the Nexus Explorer for a deeper dive. This tight integration reinforces the power of Nexus: global computation, visible, and verifiable.
The new map feature helps to better understand the scope and scale of the Nexus network. It’s a way to watch as distributed compute begins to concentrate from across cities, countries, and continents. It’s also a preview of what’s to come as we march toward Mainnet.
As we scale, visibility and verifiability will go hand in hand. The Global Activity Map makes that real, offering every participant a front-row seat to a growing ecosystem built on proof, not trust.

Connecting people, not just machines
This week, we’re also rolling out social integration, unlocking new ways to onboard, contribute, and connect within the Nexus ecosystem. For newcomers, the best way to start is by learning from people they trust. And for experienced users, this is a powerful new way to lead.
In the coming months, we will use the linked social handles feature to build new kinds of in-app functionality including:
- See what your friends, whales, and top contributors are doing
- Track the apps they’re using, the tokens they hold, and their contribution patterns
- Start quests or friendly competitions with your friends
- Unlock new tasks and get exclusive rewards
Our most active community members who contribute in various ways on social media will be recognized and rewarded. This new social layer is designed to make the Nexus ecosystem more valuable for all of our community members.
