How to Contribute to Nexus — and Why You’ll Want To

A major transformation is underway: Laptops, gaming rigs, and cloud instances are being woven into a single, verifiable layer of computation. By connecting idle compute from around the world, Nexus turns excess capacity into power for the AI era while returning real value to the people who supply it.

Testnet III is the next step in that transformation — and it’s coming soon.

During Testnet III, the Nexus app will log the cycles your machine contributes and translate those contributions into reward points.

Your contribution also powers a new class of applications that demand proof, not promises. From running large-language-model inference to generating zero-knowledge proofs, developers working on verifiable compute will need resources they can validate end-to-end.

By joining Nexus you give builders the credible, audit-ready infrastructure they can’t get from traditional clouds.

Finally, early testers shape Nexus itself. Testnet III is the last public rehearsal before mainnet, and the data we gather — from performance bottlenecks to feature feedback — directly informs future upgrades. Participating now means influencing priorities, hardening the network, and securing a permanent place in Nexus history.

All it takes to get started is a wallet. In the next few minutes you’ll connect, go live, and watch your node appear on the global Nexus map.

Step one: Set up your wallet

To interact with Nexus, you’ll need a Web3 wallet — your passport to participate in the network, earn rewards, and track your contributions.

When you visit app.nexus.xyz, you’ll see a prompt to sign in:

  • You can use a Google account, email address, or a supported crypto wallet. For full participation and rewards, we recommend using a wallet.
  • Click “Continue with a wallet” and you’ll see a list of supported options:
  • You can choose from MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, and hundreds more via Dynamic integration.

Once you select a wallet, you’ll be connected to your personal node dashboard.

Step two: One-click connect

After setting up your wallet you can begin collecting contribution rewards by toggling on the power button at the bottom of the screen. It will turn blue once you are connected.

Your node’s live status, cycles-per-second, and rewards will update in real time. Even if you’re not contributing compute yet, you can start exploring.

Why join Nexus?

Joining the Devnet and soon Testnet III helps shape the foundation of something bigger.

Here’s what you’re part of when you connect to Nexus:

  • A global compute fabric
Nexus turns unused CPU cycles into verifiable, useful work. Whether it’s powering AI inference or running zero-knowledge proofs, your machine becomes part of a globally distributed, exponentially scalable supercomputer.
  • Built-in rewards
Testnet participants earn points based on compute contributions. These points will translate into future incentives and recognitions within the network.
  • Easy access
Nexus is designed from the ground up to be fair, open, and verifiable — enabling anyone to contribute and benefit, regardless of geography or background.
  • An expanding ecosystem
With new partners, protocols, and proof systems onboarding to Nexus, the network is growing fast. The more contributors we have, the more powerful the system becomes.

What’s next?

Testnet III will introduce new capabilities, broader participation, and new ways to earn.

We’re not revealing the date just yet — but it’s coming. And it’s coming soon. If you want to be ready, now is the time to set up your wallet, get familiar with the Nexus OS, and start exploring.

The world’s most verifiable compute network is being built in the open right now.
