Nexus Testnet III Is Now Live — Everywhere

Today marks a major milestone: Nexus Testnet III is now fully live across the globe.

Over the past 24 hours, we’ve executed a phased rollout to ensure a smooth experience for contributors in every region. This approach gave our engineering team the critical time needed to address edge-case bugs, monitor high-stress system behavior, and fine-tune infrastructure ahead of scale.

To our early adopters, bug-hunters, and validators: thank you. Your participation has been invaluable in shaping this network into a battle-tested foundation for the verifiable world.

As a reminder, Testnet III will run for several months and culminate in the launch of the Nexus Mainnet. This testnet is our proving ground for the systems that will support verifiability at internet scale — from transparent AI to globally-distributed compute.

Every contribution during this phase helps lay the groundwork for a new model of verifiable computation.

What to expect during Testnet III

Testnet III is designed for broad participation. Whether you’re new to Nexus or a returning contributor, this phase offers several pathways to get involved:

  • Connect, contribute, and earn: Contributors can run provers, test the CLI, and help stress-test network reliability while earning rewards for meaningful contributions.
  • Easy wallet setup: Our streamlined wallet experience makes it simple to get started — no complex onboarding, just fast access to your testnet credentials.
  • Track your impact: The leaderboard provides real-time updates on contributor performance, helping you stay informed and competitive.
  • Advanced CLI access: For developers and power users, the Nexus CLI unlocks deeper contribution paths — including running custom workloads and testing advanced verification flows.

This is more than a test — it’s a rehearsal for a live, global, permissionless system. As the testnet evolves, we’ll be releasing new capabilities and sharing milestones from the community.

A Layer 1 for the AI Era

Nexus is a Layer 1 built for the world we’re entering — where computation is abundant, AI is everywhere, and trust is in short supply.

Traditional blockchains were designed for financial transactions. Nexus is engineered for verifiable computation. That means proving the integrity of AI outputs, validating complex workloads, and enabling applications that require trust at the computational layer — not just the data layer.

Why now? Because the way computation works is being reinvented in real time. Models are getting bigger. Outputs are harder to verify. And the internet is increasingly driven by opaque systems. Nexus offers an open alternative: a global network where computation is transparent, verifiable, and accountable by default.

As we move through Testnet III, we’ll share more about how this vision comes to life — through partnerships, protocol advancements, and eventually, the launch of the Mainnet.
