Introducing USDX: Built for Builders

Stablecoins were supposed to make crypto capital efficient.

Instead, they’ve multiplied complexity. Every new protocol introduces a new preferred stablecoin. Every app has its own liquidity pool. Every trader ends up managing multiple balances, converting between assets, and accounting for price differences that shouldn’t exist.

The problem isn’t stablecoins themselves — it’s the absence of a shared foundation. Nexus is changing that with USDX.

USDX is designed as the native dollar of the Nexus economy. It’s a purpose-built settlement currency that operates across every market, application, and transaction on Nexus.

Once launched all trading pairs on Nexus Exchange will be quoted in USDX. All PnL, margin, fees, and collateral will settle in USDX. And every application that integrates USDX will participate in a shared, protocol-native incentive system that rewards alignment.

USDX isn’t trying to compete with USDC, USDT, or other stablecoins. Those assets remain essential as on-ramps and entry points into the crypto economy.

USDX is what capital becomes once it enters Nexus. It serves as the internal unit of account that ties the ecosystem together — streamlining user experience, simplifying risk management, and creating a baseline of economic coherence that today’s fragmented stablecoin landscape simply cannot provide.

USDX use cases

For traders, USDX eliminates conversion overhead. Most trading environments today require managing multiple stablecoins across different markets and interfaces meaning quotes are inconsistent, collateral is inefficient, and pricing discrepancies create unnecessary slippage and operational drag.

With USDX, that entire layer disappears. You fund once and trade everywhere. Every product on the Nexus Exchange — from spot to perpetuals — will be denominated in USDX.

For developers, USDX introduces a structural incentive model built into the protocol itself.

Through the Global Yield Distribution System, or GYDS, applications that hold USDX won’t need to apply for grants or negotiate with governance. Instead, after mainnet, applications will be eligible to participate in the yield earned on the USDX underlying assets. These payouts will be made in USDX based on how much total value locked (TVL) their applications capture.

The result is an incentive structure that rewards usage automatically and continuously, without introducing governance friction or requiring coordination between teams. The more users an app serves, the more USDX it holds, the more rewards it receives. This creates a self-reinforcing feedback loop between utility, alignment, and developer sustainability.

A new capital substrate

Importantly, USDX doesn’t require capital to flow in through a new token or asset. It’s designed to work alongside the stablecoins that users already trust. Users can create USDX from assets with deep liquidity and zero slippage. That means USDX can serve as the canonical quote currency inside Nexus, while remaining fully interoperable with the broader crypto ecosystem.

How USDX scales

USDX is also built to scale sustainably. It isn’t dependent on short-term incentives or inflationary emissions. Instead, it acts as infrastructure — purpose-built to support real usage by real systems.

The design of USDX prioritizes composability, capital efficiency, and ecosystem alignment over speculation. The goal is to create the most useful dollar inside the most verifiable financial stack.

This launch is represents a new architecture for how capital moves.

With USDX, Nexus introduces a shared currency layer that removes friction, aligns incentives, and enables a level of interoperability that fragmented stablecoin models can’t deliver.

Every application that integrates USDX strengthens the whole. Every user who transacts with it contributes to a more coherent financial system. Every developer that adopts it gets access to yield, liquidity, and native integration — without having to compete for it.

Capital is converging. With USDX, we’re giving it a native home.
